Senior dating 'great way to meet people'

One woman has encouraged others to look for love online after meeting her husband through senior dating.

Speaking to Reuters, Jo Ann Montrose-Eichelberger explained how she was not convinced about signing up to a site but did so as "a joke".

The stewardess described how she thought the best policy would be to compile a profile that was honest and open about the type of individuals she was hoping to meet.

Explained her reasons, Ms Montrose-Eichelberger said: "For the over-50s, attitudes, values and stability are much more important than for 20-somethings."

Initially, the 55-year-old was contacted by a number of men who did not fit into her expectations such as those who had poor spelling and grammar.

However, she ended up falling in love with Brian Montrose-Eichelberger and one year after their first date the couple married.
