Nicole Richie and partner 'ready to plan wedding'

Nicole Richie is unlikely to be indulging in any USA dating any time soon as she has revealed that she is now making plans for her wedding to Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden.

Making an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' US chat show, the socialite explained that because she has been away from home, she has not had time to think about things such as bridesmaids.

"Not yet, but soon [we'll have a wedding date]. Yeah, it's a big deal," she explained, before adding that she is now ready to sit down and start planning things with her partner.

Richie also joked with DeGeneres about who she would be inviting to her celebration, stating: "You will definitely be there, obviously. Hello! Huge part of our life and relationship."

The couple already have two children, named Harlow Winter Kate and Sparrow James Midnight.

Another person who is currently planning her big day is Jennifer Hudson and her fiance David Otengo recently told Life & Style magazine that the pair have now set a date.
