Couples 'plan sex life in advance'Posted on: May 30, 2013 13:55:26
An increasing number of British couples are shunning the idea that spontaneity is the key to an entertaining sex life, opting rather to plan their erotic encounters in advance.
New research carried out by ukmedix.com revealed that over half of romantic duos admit they like to arrange when to make love to their partner in a bid to ensure they are enjoying a fulfilling sex life.
Despite traditional viewpoints arguing such rigid planning would ruin the exciting moment when partners get down and dirty between the sheets, eight in ten said their organised stance actually improved their personal encounters.
Analysts noted that one reason many couples are deciding to adopt a less spontaneous approach is to ensure they are having regular sex, as busy work schedules and stressful day-to-day routines can often leave members of both genders feeling rather reluctant.
Many couples will have experienced some kind of dry patch in their love-making routines in the mast, particularly those who have experienced some kind of worry or duos who are planning to start a family in the near future.
Researchers discovered busy professional schedules and trying to conceive were the main reasons pairs had opted to plan their sex life, with many arguing this helped them to feel more "in the mood" when the fateful time drew nearer.
Commenting on the findings, Sarah Bailey of ukmedix.com said it can be easy to overlook the importance of making love when couples let other factors get in the way.
She added: "It seems that it's no strange thing for couples to plan their intimacy, with 'ensuring regularity' being the main reason why - but it doesn’t say a great deal for spontaneity in bedrooms across the UK.
"If keeping things scheduled works for you then we say why the hell not."
