Ben Affleck adores Jennifer Garner - but won't be making more movies with herPosted on: December 10, 2013 17:03:09
Ben Affleck has had a lengthy acting career, but it appears that he isn't too happy with the films made with his wife - Jennifer Garner.
The pair filmed Pearl Harbor and Daredevil together, but the Boston- born actor has made it clear that he will not be making any more films with his partner.
However, the 41-year-old is glad that he did the Marvel film as it allowed him to fall in love with his partner who has, not only given him three children, but also made him be braver in his career choices. He admitted that without Jennifer, he would have made some bad decisions in terms of his profession.
In an interview with Michael Fleming for Playboy magazine, Ben said: "Getting to know her, falling in love with her and being connected with her gave me a foundation to reach out and say, 'Okay, I'm going to do Hollywoodland; I'm going to direct Gone Baby Gone'."
He said: "She is by leaps and bounds the most important person to me in that respect. Over the past ten years she has allowed me to have a stable home life while accomplishing my professional goals."
Having been married since 2005, the couple now have three children together; eight-year-old Violet, four-year-old Seraphina and one-year-old Samuel.
The Argo director and actor said that although the duo met on the set of Pearl Harbor, they "fell in love" while filming Daredevil.
"By the way, she won most of the fights in the movie, which was a pretty good predictor of what would happen down the road - my wife, holding swords and beating the living s--t out of me."
Speaking about the success of their previous collaborations, he said: "Well, my wife and I made Pearl Harbor and Daredevil. With our track record, I don't know if anyone's looking for a three-quel."
Ben was recently announced as the person that will become the next Caped Crusader as he takes over the role of Batman after Christian Bale, who portrayed the comic book character in the Christopher Nolan trilogy.
Talking about his upcoming part, he said that it will be an "older and wiser version" that won't compete with the image that Christopher Nolan created.
