Be true to yourself when writing dating profiles, expert states

Christian singles using online dating sites to cure their lonely hearts should be real and honest when writing their profiles, according to one love expert.

John Rushton, broadcaster and author of the Alchemy of Life books, suggested that people using online dating sites will get a better success rate by being open, real and completely truthful about who they are.

"If you're religious, then put down you are - there are people out there who have the same views and thoughts and they're probably only too willing to commune with someone who has the same viewpoint," said Mr Rushton, who is also author and founder of thelifealchemist.org.

He added that the moment a person puts something on their profile that is not true, they are setting themselves up for failure and will not attract the person they are really looking for.

To ensure that you get the most out of your online dating experience, a profile should reflect the person that you are on your very best day and be interesting, light-hearted and honest.
