Are Cheryl and Ashley Cole getting back together?

The pair, who divorced after footballer Ashley was caught cheating on numerous occasions, have allegedly been chatting to one another every day - even while they are on opposite sides of the world.

Cheryl, 28, who has been in Los Angeles recording her next studio album, has hopes that she and her former beau can reconcile and have a happy relationship, a source told Closer magazine.

"She usually texts him first thing in the morning and they'll normally call each other during the day. She saw him just before Christmas," the source added.

According to the reports, Cheryl and Ashley are planning a romantic weekend break together in February. Could this be a Valentine's Day reconciliation?

Cheryl has been spending most of her time between the UK and the US after her stint on the US X Factor in the summer, which ended with her being booted off the show's judging panel and replaced by singer Nicole Scherzinger.
