Anne Hathaway gets engaged

USA singles looking for love online may be pleased to hear that Anne Hathaway will become a princess on her very own wedding day as long-term beau Adam Shulman has proposed.

In true fairytale fashion, actor and jewellery designer Shulman designed the sparkler that would become Hathaway's engagement ring.

The One Day actress, 29, was spotted wearing the sparkler in Brooklyn, New York yesterday (November 28th) and confirmed that she is to wed her boyfriend of nearly four years.

Hathaway's happy engagement comes after a disastrous relationship with Italian property developer Raffaello Follieri, who was sent to prison on fraud charges for four and a half years.

The brunette star is due to appear in the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises, where she will star as Catwoman.

Hathaway's Catwoman performance will be premiered on July 20th next year, when the film is released.
