Adele 'not dating a married man'

Singles using online dating sites to find true love may be interested to learn that despite reports to the contrary over recent days, pop star Adele claims not to be dating a married man.

The 23-year-old soul sensation described the rumours that her new boyfriend Simon Konecki was married as ludicrous.

She wrote on her official blog: "This is the first and last time I will comment on the details of my relationship with Simon. Contrary to reports and headlines in the press today, Simon is divorced and has been for four years."

Adele rose to fame back in 2008, when her debut album 19 achieved critical acclaim and the singer received the Critics Choice title at the Brit Awards, as well as being voted the BBC Sound of 2008.

Her second album 21 has been an even greater success, with the release holding the honour of being the only UK album to ever sell more than three million copies in a single year.
